The Business

Omberulica Publications was established in 2023 as a self-publishing company for Kim I. Maxey.

Kim created the name “Omberulica” as her “power” word. The “O” at the beginning is a long vowel sound. She wanted to use it as her dba (doing business as) name. The name is created from the letters of both of her grandmothers’, mother, daughter, and granddaughter’s names.

After thoughtful consideration, Kim decided the best way to publish her works was to do it herself. Many other authors pursue self-publishing, and she decided to figure out the process.

The Owner

Kim I. Maxey currently lives in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Kim worked in health and medical organizations in various capacities (administrative, analysts of various stripes). She received her MBA from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.

She began to pursue her dream of publishing a book in 2022.
